The Argent story began in 1981 with a single colour Heidelberg Kord and one employee, working from rented space. In 1982 the company moved in to a self contained factory and added platemaking along with a guillotine and various pieces of finishing equipment. During the following five years, a single colour GTO and a two colour GTO were added along with a two colour SORK.

1995 saw the replacement of the SORK with a four colour Heidelberg MO and the move into a 5000 square foot factory. The company continued to grow and in the year 2000 the MO was changed for a Speedmaster 74 along with the addition of computer to plate technology.

2005 saw Argent purchase another printing company, Clementine Oakley and move into an 11000 square foot factory. We now proudly boast a 1.8 million pound turnover with 18 employees.

We’ve come a long way since 1981 but we are still keen to invest in more equipment and people to continue the growth story of the Argent Group.
